Copay Desktop and Mobile Bitcoin Wallet - Reviews and ...
The place for everything bitcoin!
Bitcoin is the currency of the Internet: a distributed, worldwide, decentralized digital money. Unlike traditional currencies such as dollars, bitcoins are issued and managed without any central authority whatsoever: there is no one in charge of bitcoin and it is made up of willing participants. Bitcoin gives you the option to be your own bank.

You've probably been hearing a lot about Bitcoin recently and are wondering what's the big deal? Most of your questions should be answered by the resources below but if you have additional questions feel free to ask them in the comments. The following videos are a good starting point for understanding how bitcoin works and a little about its long term potential:
Limited Supply - There will only ever be 21,000,000 bitcoins created and they are issued in a predictable fashion, you can view the inflation schedule here. Once they are all issued Bitcoin will be truly deflationary. The halving countdown can be found here.
Open source - Bitcoin code is fully auditable. You can read the source code yourself here.
Accountable - The public ledger is transparent, all transactions are seen by everyone.
Decentralized - Bitcoin is globally distributed across thousands of nodes with no single point of failure and as such can't be shut down similar to how Bittorrent works.
Censorship resistant - No one can prevent you from interacting with the bitcoin network and no one can censor, alter or block transactions that they disagree with, see Operation Chokepoint.
Push system - There are no chargebacks in bitcoin because only the person who owns the address where the bitcoins reside has the authority to move them.
Low fee - Transactions fees can vary between a few cents and a few dollars depending on network demand and how much priority you wish to assign to the transaction. Most wallets calculate the fee automatically but you can view current fees here.
Borderless - No country can stop it from going in/out, even in areas currently unserved by traditional banking as the ledger is globally distributed.
Trustless - Bitcoin solved the Byzantine's Generals Problem which means nobody needs to trust anybody for it to work.
Portable - Bitcoins are digital so they are easier to move than cash or gold. They can even be transported by simply remembering a string of words for wallet recovery.
Scalable - Each bitcoin is divisible down to 8 decimals allowing it to grow in value while still accommodating micro-transactions.
Some excellent writing on Bitcoin's value proposition and future can be found here. Bitcoin statistics can be found here, here and here. Developer resources can be found here and here. Peer-reviewed research papers can be found here. The number of times Bitcoin was declared dead by the media can be found here. Scaling resources here, and of course the whitepaper that started it all.
Where can I buy bitcoins?
BuyBitcoinWorldwide.com and Howtobuybitcoin.io are helpful sites for beginners. You can buy or sell any amount of bitcoin and there are several easy methods to purchase bitcoin with cash, credit card or bank transfer. Some of the more popular resources are below, also, check out the bitcoinity exchange resources for a larger list of options for purchases.
Here is a listing of local ATMs. If you would like your paycheck automatically converted to bitcoin use Cashila or Bitwage. Note: Bitcoins are valued at whatever market price people are willing to pay for them in balancing act of supply vs demand. Unlike traditional markets, bitcoin markets operate 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Preev is a useful site that that shows how much various denominations of bitcoin are worth in different currencies. Alternatively you can just Google "1 bitcoin in (your local currency)".
Securing your bitcoins
With bitcoin you can "Be your own bank" and personally secure your bitcoins OR you can use third party companies aka "Bitcoin banks" which will hold the bitcoins for you.
If you prefer to "Be your own bank" and have direct control over your coins without having to use a trusted third party, there are many software wallet options here. If you want easy and secure storage without having to learn computer security best practices, then a hardware wallet such as the Trezor or Ledger is recommended. A more advanced option is to secure them yourself using paper wallets generated offline. Some popular mobile and desktop options are listed below and most are cross platform.
If you prefer to let third party "Bitcoin banks" manage your coins, try Coinbase or Xapo but be aware you may not be in control of your private keys in which case you would have to ask permission to access your funds and be exposed to third party risk.
Another interesting use case for physical storage/transfer is the Opendime. Opendime is a small USB stick that allows you to spend Bitcoin by physically passing it along so it's anonymous and tangible like cash. Note: For increased security, use Two Factor Authentication (2FA) everywhere it is offered, including email! 2FA requires a second confirmation code to access your account, usually from a text message or app, making it much harder for thieves to gain access. Google Authenticator and Authy are the two most popular 2FA services, download links are below. Make sure you create backups of your 2FA codes.

Mining bitcoins can be a fun learning experience, but be aware that you will most likely operate at a loss. Newcomers are often advised to stay away from mining unless they are only interested in it as a hobby similar to folding at home. If you want to learn more about mining you can read more here. Still have mining questions? The crew at /BitcoinMining would be happy to help you out. If you want to contribute to the bitcoin network by hosting the blockchain and propagating transactions you can run a full node using this setup guide. Bitseed is an easy option for getting set up. You can view the global node distribution here.
Earning bitcoins
Just like any other form of money, you can also earn bitcoins by being paid to do a job.
You can also earn bitcoins by participating as a market maker on JoinMarket by allowing users to perform CoinJoin transactions with your bitcoins for a small fee (requires you to already have some bitcoins)

Dash In 2018: Disappointments, Boondoggles, Scandals, Disasters, & Catastrophes
[The original post was censored in the the paidshill Dash pumping sub Dashpay, where actual discussion beyond "2018 kind of sucked for Dash" is not allowed.] Disappointments In 2018, Dash failed to be listed on Coinbase while ETC and many other coins were, due to Dash's notorious Instamine, centralized development, and murky Howey Test/SEC Action status. In 2018, Dash failed be included in the OpenBazaar project, while Monero and several other alts were added. In 2018, efforts to hype Dash's supposedly impressive 2mb block-based tx/sec rate were crushed and humiliated when DCG's creaky old client hit a crippling software limitation around the same time as BCH and BSV were chewing through 32 and 64 megabyte blocks. In 2018, Dash's former anti-segwit hero Craig Wright learned new facts about law and concluded Dash is an illegal security, saying so loudly in tweets backed by citations. In 2018, Wirex and other debit card providers supported Bitcoin and many alts, but not Dash, despite a year of Shrem 2.0 shill talk about integrations 'soon'. In 2018, Dash Core used Uphold for the "Acquire Dash" part of their Kript mobile plan, but Uphold doesn't work in Venezuela , so that pillar of their strategy was broken. Boondoggles In 2018, the FanDuel fiasco wasted a fortune in cash and goodwill, leaving Dash's target market of online gambling to Calvin Ayre's BSV and Roger Ver's BCH blockchains. In 2018, the DACH Embassy fiasco wasted a fortune in cash and goodwill, as nobody ever really cared about Macrocuck/Simon/Basilpop/Ezra/Fabio running around desperately trying to look busy enough to justify their ridiculous burn rate and poor results. In 2018, the CoPay fiasco wasted a fortune in cash and goodwill as users and devs suffered an ambush from DCG, leaving the formerly hyped "backbone of Evolution" project instantly retired to abandonware status. In 2018, the Alt36 train-wreck-in-progress slowly lurched towards its imminent conclusion of causing more toxic FUD and wasting a fortune in cash and goodwill with zero deliverables to show for it. Scandals In 2018, fake "Venezuela adoption" news resulted in massive public humiliation as Twitter, cc, and Russia Today (ironically, the home of Dash paidshill Max Keiser) debunked hype that only amounted to useless stickers on greasy cash registers. In 2018, Evan and Amanda were missing in action, despite Evan's previous promises to develop hardware and support the ecosystem with his vast, intentionally insta-mined fortune. In 2018, Dash paid to hold a Bitcoin networking event at a Miami strip club, offending so many people (it was a 2nd offence for Dash with strippers at TNABC) the scandal was reported worldwide by Bloomberg, Fortue, Business Insider, etc. In 2018, knowledge of Dash's instamine became widespread throughout the entire crypto universe and the intentional nature of Evan's faked "bug" excuse became a subject of investigation. In 2018, Dash cargo cultists reduced themselves to shilling the dwindling number of cherry-picked metrics by which Dash was not failing utterly, such as the absurd "FairCoinValue" and fallacious/irrelevant "ATH Masternode Count" hype. In 2018, the KuvaCash fiasco turned toxic (wasting a fortune in cash and goodwill) resulting in a kDAO splinter group of venture capitalist MNOs and creating massive Howey Test implications. Disasters In 2018, a KuvaNation vs. DACH Force News civil war inflicted mass casualties, leaving a permanent split of the "DGBB" community into non-cooperative Team Tao and Team Joel factions fighting over a shrinking Treasury budget like starving rats. In 2018, malicious MNOs trolled Dash at the protocol level and on DashCentral, causing chaos at the very end of voting cycles, thus showing the entire world Dash is not resistant to Sybil attack after all. In 2018, Dash Clown Group Inc failed to live up to its own self-imposed "Agile Development" goals so many times they published one sketchy, final "DRAFT" roadmap, and then quietly abandoned entirely the idea of actually trying to meet deadlines (despite the dash.org page still advertising a Q4 2018 Alpha release). Catastrophes In 2018, a single mining pool controlled enough hashpower to prevent a timely upgrade, demonstrating that Dash's PoW is not sufficiently decentralized (due to Bitmain's monopoly on Dash ASICs). In 2018, www.crypto51.app showed the world Dash is >90% NiceHash-able and thus may be 51% attacked easily and cheaply (<1 BTC per hour), causing Poloniex and other exchanges to require 50 confirmations (rather than using InsantSend). In 2018, the failures of Dash's X11-based PoW security model and resulting threat of attacks caused Dash to abandon Nakamoto Consensus for a wonky, untested, homespun version of checkpoints (conceding defeat and offering an unconditional "pre-consensus" surrender before an attack even happened). In 2018, Evolution was not here by NYE (not even an alpha version of a testnet). In 2018, no amount of brave ThisIsFine talk about buying dips could change the fact that Dash Core Group Inc had to radically downsize due to their customary $935k/month funding being completely unsupportable. Analysis Never mind the price drop, even though Dash suffered worse than most of its Top 20 peers and fell in rank from #3 all the way down to #16. Let's ignore the fact Dash is marketed to investors with the 'Masternode' feature advertised as supposedly stabilizing the price. Let's also ignore the fact that in 2018 Dash's supposed Sybil-resistance was shown to be inadequate, as blockchain analysis revealed dozens of Masternodes trolling at the protocol level by voting no on all but the infamous DEMOTE RYAN TAYLOR proposal. Evolution was, after years of delays, complete from-scratch reboots, and blown goals, given one final self-imposed deadline to meet. Dash's Queen, Amanda of the Used Car Lot, declared she was going have to rethink her position regarding Duff's Instamined Masternode tokens if that deadline wasn't met. That deadline was midnight Dec 31, 2018. Now it's the first morning of 2019 and Evolution is nowhere to be seen. Even worse, Dash Clown Inc is once again making negative progress towards their goals of shipping a test-net version of v13 worth of the term "Release Candidate." Dash Clown Inc burned through ten (10) un-releasable (because broken) so-called Release Candidates. Finally the clueless clowns (running around like headless chickens since Andy Freer was fired or rage-quit) gave up on the entire v13 RC branch and went back to tinkering with v12. No updates to the crucial LLMQ repo have been made since November, when the price drop crushed DCG's budget and Andy suddenly left Evolution to die on the operating table. Dash in 2018 through the eyes of Reddit's most popular crypto sub January 2018
Dash doesn't actually look like it is being utilised by Venezuelans. Have a look. https://np.reddit.com/CryptoCurrency/comments/a96i3y/dash_doesnt_actually_look_like_it_is_being/ https://youtu.be/4tKvqj3U3O0 Most controversial comment: "I dont see how people dont get it. If you cant pay for food, you would invest what little you have into something as risky as crypto ? It is easy to judge from our POV but In reality, most would rather feed their familiy then look for ways to invest in some startup."
Conclusion The Top Three Dash-related posts at cryptocurrency are a microcosm of Dash's start-to-finish miserable, horrible, terrible year of self-inflicted blunders, money pits, and epoch-ending cataclysms cumulating in the resolution of the Dash experiment and disproving Evan's "Dash is Digital Cash" hypothesis. Note: The repost is shared here. The original has been censored from Dashpay. https://np.reddit.com/DashUncensored/comments/abvewf/dash_in_2018_disappointments_boondoggles_scandals/ [Dash is such a terrible scam that it needs its own uncensored sub to discuss happenings without incurring the wrath of the MNO and the Dash ponzi leadership/Evan/Amanda. I honestly believe crypto must weed out these ponzi like operations before we can move forward as a collective group]
While using Bitcoin to pay for an order on Overstock, it occured to me that I could save the transaction fee if I had a coinbase wallet. This would have made it a free, coinbase-internal transaction as they are processing Overstock's Bitcoin payments. In other words: once fees start to hurt, frequent Bitcoin users will flock to whatever integrated wallet provider is most popular, creating a classic "winner takes it all" scenario. Once that happens, you can kiss decentralization goodbye.

So I did a little looking online, and someone said that all I have to do to start "mining" is download nice hash and just follow some steps, while watching your temperatures to make sure nothing overheats Is all of that true? Is it that easy to start? If so, if I have it running almost 24/7 for a month, how much is it going to affect my electricity bill? On August 1, Bitcoin resumed its original roadmap, scaling on-chain towards global adoption as Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash. It’s been just 3 and a half months since Bitcoin Cash broke away from BTC in order avoid a software mutation called Segwit, and to restore progress and growth to the ecosystem. After a recent price rally that saw us reach 0.5 BTC ($3000), the reality is setting in that an overnight ‘flippening’ scenario that some people hoped for is unlikely, and that we have a longer road ahead. It’s really important to remember how much has been achieved in such a short time. Let’s take a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come as a young community. July:

This rate and scale of industry adoption is unprecedented. With every BTC holder receiving an equal amount of Bitcoin Cash, and with the price over $1300, the rate and scale of user adoption is unprecedented. With fast, reliable transactions and fees that are less than 1 cent, and with both BitPay & Coinbase hinting at a full Bitcoin Cash integration, the rate and scale of merchant adoption will be unprecedented. With unprecedented industry, user and merchant adoption, it’s only a matter of time until Bitcoin Cash becomes the default medium of exchange and store of value cryptocurrency. The old Bitcoin is back. You can feel it. It’s the resurgence of a grassroots movement not seen for years. People are putting Bitcoin Cash posters in the streets, handing out leaflets, tipping strangers a few dollars online, and asking in forums how they can contribute to the community. Just in the last couple of days a ‘Bitcoin Cash Fund’ was established, to assist with marketing and projects. The initial goal was $200 to make a short animated advert, but over $17,000 has been donated already. All of this positivity and energy is inspiring. While businesses are being forced to abandon BTC due to exorbitant and skyrocketing fees (upwards of $10), they’re being cheered on every day as they embrace Bitcoin Cash. The original vision is still alive. As an early bitcoiner, I’ve never been more optimistic. Make sure you involve yourself in the community, we’re just getting started :) Reddit: BTC or BitcoinCash Twitter: twitter.com/BITCOINCASH Website: bitcoincash.org Dev: Mailing List Also posted on Yours:Bitcoin Cash: A Reflection on How Far We’ve Come

For lots of additional video resources check out the videos wiki page or /BitcoinTV. Key properties of bitcoin
Limited Supply - There will only ever be 21,000,000 bitcoins created and they are issued in a predictable fashion, you can view the inflation schedule here. Once they are all issued Bitcoin will be truly deflationary.
Low fee - Transactions cost a few cents, most wallets calculate this automatically but you can view current fees here.
Borderless - No country can stop it from going in/out, even in areas currently unserved by traditional banking as the ledger is globally distributed.
Trustless - Bitcoin solved the Byzantine's Generals Problem which means nobody needs to trust anybody for it to work.
Pseudonymous - No need to expose personal information when purchasing with cash or transacting.
Secure - Encrypted cryptographically and can’t be confiscated with proper key management such as hardware wallets.
Nearly instant - From a few seconds to a few minutes depending on need for confirmations.
Peer-to-peer - No intermediaries with a cut, no need for trusted third parties.
Portable - Bitcoins are digital so they are easier to move than cash or gold. They can even be transported by simply remembering a string of words for wallet recovery.
Scalable - Each bitcoin is divisible down to 8 decimals allowing it to grow in value while still accommodating micro-transactions.

Where can I buy bitcoins?
BuyBitcoinWorldwide.com is a very helpful site for beginners.

There are several benefits to accepting bitcoin as a payment option if you are a merchant;
1-3% savings over credit cards or PayPal.
No chargebacks (final settlement in 10 minutes as opposed to 3+ months).
Accept business from a global customer base.
Increased privacy.
Convert 100% of the sale to the currency of your choice for deposit to your account, or choose to keep a percentage of the sale in bitcoin if you wish to begin accumulating it.
If you are interested in accepting bitcoin as a payment method, there are several options available;
Bitcoin Projects
The following is a short list of ongoing projects that might be worth taking a look at if you are interested in current development in the bitcoin space.
One Bitcoin is quite large (hundreds of £/$/€) so people often deal in smaller units. The most common subunits are listed below:
Unit
Symbol
Value
Info
millibitcoin
mBTC
1,000 per bitcoin
SI unit for milli i.e. millilitre (mL) or millimetre (mm)
microbitcoin
μBTC
1,000,000 per bitcoin
SI unit for micro i.e microlitre (μL) or micrometre (μm)
bit
bit
1,000,000 per bitcoin
Colloquial "slang" term for microbitcoin
satoshi
sat
100,000,000 per bitcoin
Smallest unit in bitcoin, named after the inventor
For example, assuming an arbitrary exchange rate of $500 for one Bitcoin, a $10 meal would equal:
0.02 BTC
20 mBTC
20,000 bits

Roger, can you make Bitcoin Cash an option, with maybe a link to info, in the original wallet setup phase for the Bitcoin.com wallet?
When you originally set up your Bitcoin.com wallet, it defaults to Segwit-coin. I think that there are going to be many people downloading this app come Nov, and it would be best to give new people the option of creating a REAL bitcoin wallet.
Bitcoin Cash trading is being temporarily suspended on the subreddit until further notice because of a brewing hard fork war on November 15th
You might recall that one time Bitcoin trading was temporarily suspended around August last year because two sides of development (Bitcoin Core, and a bunch of people that disagreed with Bitcoin Core) were at an impasse in regards to scaling, so those that did not agree with Core's vision forked off and created Bitcoin Cash. Since Cash's creation, it's gone through two planned hard forks to conduct network upgrades like per-block difficulty calculation. This third fork is a bit different, as there are two competing proposals. The first, by the Bitcoin ABC development group, introduces a new opcode that validates messages sent through the blockchain from outside sources. The second, by the Bitcoin "Satoshi's Vision" group (AKA Bitcoin SV), opposes this and instead introduces other opcodes and a block size increase all the way to 128 MB (up from 32 MB). Both proposals are incompatible with the other, and a chain split of some sort will occur. Of particular concern amongst the Bitcoin Cash community is concerns about the leadership of Bitcoin SV, of which a prominent figurehead (Craig Wright) has pledged to do various things with Bitcoin SV that many argue is exactly against what the Bitcoin & cryptocurrency concepts stand against, like scooping dormant and "lost" coins from "inactive" wallets for redistribution. As it stands right now, as per coin.dance (which keeps track of all sorts of things about the Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash ecosystems), a majority of companies either are prepared to support or explicitly stated support for Bitcoin ABC. But a bunch of mining power right now is backing Bitcoin SV. While we'd normally let the two warring factions play it out, Coinbase has stated its intention to freeze Bitcoin Cash activity until a point where they deem that a network is healthy enough to resume trading. BitPay (which Valve used as their Bitcoin payment processor before they dropped Bitcoin payments last December) is recommending its users to cut off BCH activity at least two hours before.
As a hard fork war is imminent and because Coinbase is freezing its BCH activity in anticipation of a chain split, /GlobalOffensiveTrade will be suspending all Bitcoin Cash trading tonight at 6 PM CST (0000 UTC) until further notice.
Posts involving Bitcoin Cash trades will be removed by AutoModerator after this time. You should also be aware that exchanges like Coinbase may experience increased load from people taking action and offloading coins into wallets they directly control in advance of a potential fork, which has the potential to result in processing delays. If you use Bitcoin Cash, chances are that you may have already heard about this upcoming war and know what to do and have already plotted your course of action. But for those that haven't, we recommend avoiding non-essential Bitcoin Cash trades through the next few days. If you wish to get out of Bitcoin Cash by way of liquidation to a fiat currency or an alternative cryptocurrency of choice, or if you want to remain with Bitcoin Cash and prepare to place your vote on what the wider ecosystem will back, now is the time to do so. "OG" Bitcoin is unaffected and will not be suspended, so you will be able to continue to post BTC trades without interruption (as long as your trade doesn't also list BCH). And as a reminder, our bait-and-switch policies involving Bitcoin is as follows: if you do not explicitly specify which variant of Bitcoin you want, it will be assumed that you want original Bitcoin and not Bitcoin Cash (including if you say just BTC). If you want Bitcoin Cash instead of original Bitcoin, you must explicitly say so, either by stating "Bitcoin Cash", "BCC", or "BCH". As the hard fork war progresses, the health of the Bitcoin Cash network(s) will be evaluated periodically. Chances are that if Coinbase comes to a decision, we will make ours as well and resume when that happens.
Dash In 2018: Disappointments, Boondoggles, Scandals, Disasters, & Catastrophes
[This post was censored in the the paidshill Dash pumping sub, where actual discussion beyond "2018 kind of sucked for Dash" is not allowed, and then re-posted here.]
Disappointments In 2018, Dash failed to be listed on Coinbase while ETC and many other coins were, due to Dash's notorious Instamine, centralized development, and murky Howey Test/SEC Action status.
Most controversial comment: "I dont see how people dont get it. If you cant pay for food, you would invest what little you have into something as risky as crypto ? It is easy to judge from our POV but In reality, most would rather feed their familiy then look for ways to invest in some startup." Conclusion The Top Three Dash-related posts at cryptocurrency are a microcosm of Dash's start-to-finish miserable, horrible, terrible year of self-inflicted blunders, money pits, and epoch-ending cataclysms cumulating in the resolution of the Dash experiment and disproving Evan's "Dash is Digital Cash" hypothesis.
What is Garlicoin? Garlicoin is a community-based cryptocurrency that was originally founded based on a meme of garlic bread that reached the front page of Reddit. The concept of a memecoin is similar to that of the more well-known Dogecoin, but Garlicoin is actually a fork of Litecoin, which is itself a fork of Bitcoin. What technology is behind Garlicoin? As it's just a fork of Litecoin, it's basically the same thing with how the addresses, wallets, etc. work but there are a few key differences. Most importantly, the mining algorithm is called "Allium," which was specially developed to be ASIC-resistant. Originally the coin was based on Scrypt-N but a hard-fork occurred on 2/16/2018 in order to solve the problem of ASICs that were discovered on the network. Another key difference is that Garlicoin only has a 40 second block time, so transactions confirm very fast. Who developed Garlicoin? Disclaimer: Most of the code was copy-pasted. However, there are a few developers that continue to work on the project. u/DigitalizedOrange was the founder, he likes anime. Most of the moderators are also part of the team. Should I invest in Garlicoin? Like any cryptocurrency, don't treat it as investing. Treat it like speculation or gambling. If you're not willing to lose that money, the answer is no. Garlicoin has even more risk behind it as it isn't trying to be at the forefront of technology or anything. All we have is meme appeal and garlic bread. Why did the price just moon? Or why did it just crash? With such a low volume in Garlicoin exchanges, the price can be easily manipulated. Trade with caution. How can I start mining? Check out the mining section in the links and tutorials down below. There's a great guide to setting everything up by Pandawan. Why does the explorer show a different value than my web-based wallet? Some web-based wallets, such as GarlicWallet.com, are shared wallets meaning that you don't own the private keys and the website will move your coins around between addresses. The address you receive just credits your online account so you can withdraw a specific amount however you technically do not own those coins and if the site goes down then you may lose access to them forever. For that reason, it's highly recommended that you use a wallet where you own the private keys. Paper wallets are the most secure for large values as long as you physically keep them in a safe place, as they cannot be hacked. What other Garlic Bread goodness can I get into? Check out GBDS (dating simulator) and GarlicBreadMemes if you can't get enough. I have another question that isn't answered here! First try using the search bar for this subreddit. If you can't find an answer then you can create a new thread and someone from the community will most likely help you. If I forgot to add a commonly asked question to this guide, or if there's anything else you'd like to see explained/linked here, please let me know in the comments.

Yesterday, I was updating my feedly list and landed to one of the founder's collection which is "Bitcoin". I've heard about it but not entirely sure how to use/earn it. So any noob advice how can I possibly earn some of it? I know one, Coinality.com? Any thoughts?

Make sure you involve yourself in the community, we’re just getting started :) Reddit: BTC or BitcoinCash Twitter: twitter.com/BITCOINCASH Website: bitcoincash.org Dev: Mailing List Also posted on Yours:Bitcoin Cash: A Reflection on How Far We’ve Come
Since the top exchanges by trading volume for Bitcoin Cash from coinmarketcap are South Korean, I browsed the South Korean message boards and found this. Just wanted to share with you guys. This was about 30 hours ago, just before the price spike. Shows what Korean sentiment is (and why Bitcoin Cash is being valued higher on their exchanges).
From 8 am on August 16, I mined Bitcoin Cash (BCH) block chain with 8MB block size at Bitclub Network. Block # 479469 handles over 37,000 transactions in mempool, creating the largest block of blocks ever found in the BCH chain. Meanwhile, the BCH network has infrastructure development and industry support. The 8MB blocks found in Bitcoin Cash Blockchain handle 37K transactions! Bitcoin Cash started on the 16th and network split was on August 1st. The BCH chain began to be mined, and the diggers processed 918 blocks after hard fork. On August 16, from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm, unidentified transactions in the EDT seemed to spam the BCH network. About an hour later, we discovered an enormous 8MB block in the mined pool Bitclub Network that handled 37,814 BCH transactions. Two hours later, another large block was mined from the BCH chain, which is 4 MB in size. Incidentally, the memo pool in the bit coin (BTC) block chain is filled and there are over 48,000 unverified transactions in the media. Currently, BCH chain difficulty is performed in the top 13% of BTC. Unknown diggers or mining groups captured vast quantities of BCH hash rates and mined 90% of all blocks found. Since the Pool did not leave a clue as to its location or identity, no one can determine who or who is the miner. Today, however, the BTC block chain is 1311 blocks ahead of the BCH chain and is still 69% more profitable for mining. Infrastructure Support The BCH market has remained fairly steady, maintaining a range of $ 300 last week. Digital calls received more support this week in various industry decryption projects. For example, Breadwallet announced the BCH Transmission Tool for Android and iOS mobile platforms on August 15th. BCH supporters found another incredible fact when BitPay announced that customers using Copay and Bitpay wallets could access the token. Bitpay does not plan to fully support tokens in the software's user interface, but Wallet users want an option to search Bitcoin Cash if they want. In addition to two wallet tools, Breadwallet and Bitpay, another wallet with BCH support has been introduced to the sponsor. Openbazaar developer Chris Pacia has developed a wallet for digital calling that is currently in Alpha. Pacia asked the BCH supporters to help with the test. Because of the software in the early stages, he warns you carefully not to store large amounts of money in your wallet. At this stage, you can find the developer's BCH wallet project and source code. Added Swiss Private Bank, Ether, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash Asset Management Bitcoin Cash 8MB Block 479469 has completed more than 37,000 transactions and Bitcoin Suisse AG has announced a detailed BCH support announcement that Falcon Private Bank will allow decryption asset management for ETH, LTC and bit coin cash. Bitcoin.com has reported on the initial setup of BTC management implementation and now customers can buy, exchange and store BCH on the bank platform. Niklas Nikolajsen, founder and CEO of Bitcoin Suisse AG, is helping the company add new digital assets to Falcon, which is exciting news. "Bitcoin Suisse is proud to continue to support Falcon Private Bank products in the field of encryption assets," Nikolajsen explained. Falcon Private Bank became the first bank to provide direct bit coins to customers. You've probably been hearing a lot about Bitcoin recently and are wondering what's the big deal? Most of your questions should be answered by the resources below but if you have additional questions feel free to ask them in the comments. Limited Supply - There will only ever be 21,000,000 bitcoins created and they are issued in a predictable fashion, you can view the inflation schedule here. Once they are all issued Bitcoin will be truly deflationary.
